The "Written Word of God", at the least, is very ambiguous. All works accepted as Holy Writ were written by human beings (usually men) with a personal agenda in mind. Whether that agenda was to promote their own personal beliefs or inspire others to think beyond the confines of daily thought, the truth remains that our Creators did not write any scripture.

Ironically, the three greatest prophets known throughout the world, Jesus the Christ (Christian), Mohammed (Islam), and Buddha (Buddhist) did not leave any of their own writings. Everything attributed to these True Prophets of God was written by others, who interpreted the prophets' teachings and shared their often-skewed interpretation with the world. True prophets had good reason not to leave any of their own personal writings; each knew of the potential of their writings becoming corrupted through translation and the interpolation of spurious doctrine from unscrupulous followers and those who, after the prophets' death, would set themselves up as leaders and promoters of the prophets' message.

The Sealed Portion—The Final Testament of Jesus Christ was prepared by our Creators (but written by fallible mortal men in their own language) to unite the true intent of all those who were individually chosen by our Creators to deliver a message of hope to the inhabitants of the world. The Sealed Portion transcends all organized religion and fulfills the promise made by our Creators and given through it's final prophet/author (Moroni):

Behold, when ye shall rend that veil of unbelief which doth cause you to remain in your awful state of wickedness, and hardness of heart, and blindness of mind, then shall the great and marvelous things which have been hid up from the foundation of the world from you -- yea, when ye shall call upon the Father in my name, with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, then shall ye know that the Father hath remembered the covenant which he made unto your fathers. (Ether 4:15)
